In-Cosmetics In-Cosmetics 2015 review: Award-winning innovation on display from our partners

The Spanish Sunshine didn't disappoint last week, and neither did In-Cosmetics. It was brilliant to meet up with friends, colleagues and customers in Catalonia. What a great show at a very good location.

"Once again our partners have done us proud. Induchem, Codif, Mibelle and Oat Cosmetics all scooped prestigious In-Cosmetics awards. Our committment is to continually bring cutting edge ingredients to you."

Key In-Cosmetics launches from ProTec partners:

Codif Recherche et Nature
Neuroguard from Codif

Winner of the Bronze award for Best Active Ingredient

The concept of 'skin neuroaging' opens the door to new 'neurocosmetic' strategies.
Beyond nerve-cell communications, Codif's new Neuroguard active ingredient decrypts,
targets and provides preventive and curative treatment against skin neuroaging.
In-Cosmetics Awards
Studies have shown that the ageing of neurons directly affects the communication between nerves
and fibroblasts, triggering a fall in fibroblast vitality and a decrease in collagen and elastin synthesis.

Neuroguard re-establishes a healthy communication between nerves and fibroblasts and to reactivate
dermal cells previously weakened by neuroaging toxicity. The result is treatment of deep wrinkles within
28 days.

Mibelle BiochemistryPhytoCellTec nunatak
Ice age cosmetics

Mibelle Biochemistry launched PhytoCellTec nunatak, based on stem cells which come
from the high alpine plant Saponaria pumila. This flower survived the last ice age by
growing on ice-free mountain peaks, which are known as nunataks. The distinctive survival
characteristics of Saponaria pumila are still preserved in their stem cells and these are now
available for skin care.
In-Cosmetics Awards
PhytoCellTec nunatak has been shown to efficiently protect dermal stem cells against UV-induced stress
and to also maintain their stem cell activity. It enhances the smooth and flawless appearance of the skin,
even when it is exposed to the sun.

Mibelle also launched RootBioTec HO, which prevents hair loss and ensures fuller hair by inhibiting 5α
reductase and stimulating hair follicles.

5α reductase II is the key target enzyme in the inhibition of hair loss. It is present in hair follicle cells and catalyses the reduction of testosterone into the more potent androgen dihydrotestosterone (DHT), which has two to three times greater androgenic receptor affinity.

Mibelle also scooped a BS Innovation award for PerfectionPeptide P7.
