INTRODUCTION

Cetpro EHT is a synthetic oil soluble sunscreen that absorbs UV-B rays at wavelengths from 280 to 320nm, with peak protection at about 314nm. EHT gives the highest photo-stable absorption of all available UVB filters today. Recent studies have also shown that EHT has antioxidant properties, which means it can help neutralise free radicals that are produced by UV radiation. It is approved for the use in sun care preparations in many countries worldwide – in Europe the maximum concentration allowed is 5%. It is not FDA approved, so currently not available in the USA.
