Lipoid Kosmetik’s new ingredient, Amaretine®, was awarded 1st prize at the 21st annual BSB Innovation Awards in 2023 under the Cosmetics/Raw Material/Actives category. The judges said, “The activation of a specific bitter receptor to stimulate barrier lipid formation together with the reduction of inflammatory markers to modulate atopic skin conditions, is an innovative way to provide essential skin benefits; it might open new solutions for sensitive skin based on activating other bitter receptors; effects are very well documented.”

Mountain Tea Pro also won 1st prize under the Natural Products/Raw Materials/Actives category. The judges said, “Based on an exciting new plant species, ex vivo antioxidant potential demonstrated by ESR; interesting caffeine-free tea story to calm down in the evening, and therefore a good active ingredient for night care products; European origin and community support.”
