September 11, 2024The new Regulation (EU) 2023/1115 on deforestation-free products is expected to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and biodiversity loss. It is part of a broader plan of action first outlined in 2019 to tackle deforestation and forest degradation.
Due to this, there has been a widespread change in sourcing, policy, and responsibility, which has many new implications for suppliers and customers.
