Shipping Delays Update: Extended ETAs and Capacity Reductions in the Coming Months

We wanted to update you on the ongoing shipping delays impacting estimated arrival times due to heavy congestion at major transhipment hubs, particularly across the Far East and Europe. Currently, delays are extending 14 to 28 days beyond the original schedules.

While shipping lines are taking steps to reduce congestion and stabilise vessel arrivals, the situation remains dynamic. Securing berthing windows at major ports in Asia and Europe continues to be a significant challenge, which adds further uncertainty to ETAs.

Please also be aware that, in the coming month, shipping lines will reduce capacity by scheduling additional blank sailings. This adjustment is intended to align supply with demand better, but delayed return trips to Asia are further tightening capacity. With high demand, these factors also drive upward pressure on market rates.

We understand the frustration these delays may cause and sincerely appreciate your patience. Please be assured that we and our forwarders are working hard to mitigate any impact to you. Where we are unavoidably impacted, we will ensure to give you as much notice as possible and will work with you to minimise any delay. We would also advise revising the leads times in your system accordingly and placing your orders with us as early as possible, in order for us to manage the supply chain as best we can over the next few months and beyond.

If you would like to start a conversation with us, have any questions regarding our product portfolio or would like to request pricing and a sample, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. We look forward to hearing from you.
