We’re pleased to launch our new feature, #MeetTheTeam, where you can learn more about the team at ProTec. To start things off, we’ve spoken to our newest member of the team, Tara Beeden, who joins as Technical Services Manager.
Q: Tell us about your role within the group. (What company do you work for, what’s your job and where are you based)
A: I am the new Protec Ingredia Technical Services Manager, based in Nottingham
Q: What did you do before joining ProTec?
A: I have been in the cosmetic industry for 28 years ( yes, I was only 5 when I started work!). Most of that time, I worked for the Boots company across many different roles, mainly in development. Some of those are Haircare formulation, Sun & Skin formulation manager, Haircare technical expert, Project manager, and Technical marketing. For the last 2 years, I have worked for a smaller development consultancy working with mainly Indie brands, being their project manager, packaging buyer and the link between them and the contract manufacturer.
Q: Tea or Coffee?
A: Coffee (if you can call it coffee!) A very weak café latte! Basically steamed milk with a coffee flavour!
Q: Tell us something about you that’s not related to work. (EG, what hobbies do you have? Do you love to cook?)
A: I am a member of my local amateur dramatic group. I have been in many plays and pantomimes. I am rehearsing for our panto currently, which we are performing in mid Feb. It is Aladdin, and I am playing Aladdin. I have been practising my thigh slapping!! I also love to bake, which is probably why I enjoy formulating 😊
Q: What are you currently watching that you can’t get enough? (or something you’ve recently watched)
A: I have recently watched Fool Me Once, which was great! I love a ‘who has done it’! I am also working our way through all of the Star Wars shows on Disney with my Son and Husband!
