Natural AHA Complex Liquid is a combination of three naturally-derived alpha hydroxy acids (citric, lactic from molasses and tartaric from grape vine) in a water-soluble liquid form.

Topical application of alpha hydroxy acids at levels around 5% have been shown to act as an exfoliant, loosening and removing the top layer of dead cells by decreasing corneocyte adhesion, to reveal the new cells below. At this level alpha hydroxy acids can be used as a regular part of a skin care programme. The following properties have been referenced in the literature:

• Treatment of photo-damaged skin, improves irregular skin pigmentation
• Superficial peel, exfoliation
• Moisturising, skin hydrating
• Improves surface appearance and gives fresher, smoother look to skin
• Treatment of problem, adolescent and blemished skin; unblocking and cleansing pores
• Removes dry skin from scalp and moisturising
•  

Recommend usage level: 1-10% (max = 15%)
