Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate (SAP) is a water-soluble, stable derivative of Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C). It is converted to the Vitamin-C form within the skin by enzymatic activity. Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate is a potent antioxidant for use in wide-ranging skincare formulations. It aids the formation of new skin collagen, thus assists in combating photo-oxidative damage in the skin from UV-A exposure.
