Esteemed Fashion & Beauty magazine, British Vogue, have released what they think are going to be the hottest skincare ingredients for 2019, whilst their seven ingredients certainly are not new on the beauty scene its clear this is going to be their year.

Of the seven they have picked, we are able to supply you with the following three ingredients:

Mandelic Acid (CetPro DL-MA)

Mandelic acid is an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) derived from bitter almonds, but is more gentle.  It works to accelerate cell turnover by dissolving the bonds that hold skin cells together, helping to remove dead skin on the surface to leave the epidermis renewed. Its’ larger molecule size means that it doesn’t penetrate the skin as deeply as others, making it a good choice for sensitive skin. This is available from CetPro, our own branded raw ingredients.

Marula Oil

Marula Oil is a highly anti-inflammatory plant oil, known for it’s very high antioxidant count and incredible stability with ultra light and serum-like texture. Great for even the most sensitive skins, it is anti-microbial, non-irritating and non-pore-clogging, so it can be used on all skin types, including oily. This is available via our partner ProTec Botanica.

Squalane

Squalane is a great alternative to traditional face oils, whilst still plant derived, often from Olives or Sugarcane. It has a lightweight and grease free texture but at the same time leaving the skin hydrated. This is a great product for dry skin, oily skin or normal skin types. We provide several different Squalane options including several from our partner EFP Biotek.

If you’re interested in formulating with any of the above ingredients, please do get in touch and we can arrange a sample and for some more information.
